Dull gloomy day with strong NE wind, but a Swallow was reported at Slimbridge yesterday

New Passage/Northwick:
38 Canada Geese, 7 Brent Geese, 5 Shelduck, 16 Wigeon on pools, 200+ Wigeon on sea, 4 Gadwall,
8 Teal, 14 Shoveler, 1 Cormorant, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Kestrel, 2 Little Grebe, 10 Coot, 150+ Knot, 75 Lapwing, 25 Curlew, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Turnstone, 60+ Common Gull,
1 GBB Gull, 6 Pied wagtail, 3 Meadow Pipit

20 Golden Plover, a pair of Ravens

3 Jay, 1 Dipper, 15 Blue & Great Tit, 20 Long-tailed Tit, 3 Redwing, 4 Goldfinch, 1 Chaffinch,
2 Bullfinch

Mute Swan sat on road at the junction of Charlton Rd and Charlton Pk. Protected by a van and driver as Police arrived to deal with it

Ravens were reported at Newton St Loe and Chew
Newton St Loe:
3 Teal, 37 Mallard, 1 Cormorant, 2 Buzzard, 3 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 40+ BH Gull, 2 Collared Dove,
4 Raven, party of Goldcrest and Blue, Great and Coal Tits, 25+ Redwing, 5+ Mistle Thrush,
1 m Stonechat, 3 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, Goldfinch, Chaffinch

Barrow Tanks:
1 Brent Goose (dark bellied), 2 Wigeon, 1 Gadwall, 25+ Teal, 14 Shoveler, 6 Pochard, 9 Lapwing

Blagdon Lake:
The water level continues to rise. 16 Bewick's  Swans, 2 ad♂ Red-crested Pochards, 14 Little Egrets,   4 Great White Egrets, several flocks of Starlings (a passage migrant and winter visitor to the lake these days)
24-11-16 Wigeon (Mrs Trellis)
Unusual at Litton Reservoir
Litton Reservoir: 
1 Wigeon, 11 Cormorant, 12 Little Grebe, 1 Kingfisher, 7 Long-tailed Tit, 4 Goldcrest,
2 Nuthatch, 2 Bullfinch.

Chew Valley Lake:
The unpopular heavily vandalised 'hide' on the Bittern Trail is being taken down. It is understood a more conventional and hopefully vandal-proof hide will replace it. The Bittern Trail is closed for the foreseeable future as the wooden boardwalk has fallen into disrepair

Numbers of Great White Egrets dropped hugely at Chew Valley Lake since heavy rains

148 Canada Goose (on the flooded pond), 1 Shelduck (pond), 2 Goosander (f), 1 Little Egret,
Great White Egret, 1 Water Rail (pond), 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Ravens (fly over),
200+ Starlings (in the reeds in the pond), 3 Meadow Pipit (wall)                               
2 Scaup, 2 Goosander (f), 2 Great White Egret (field right side drive way in), 1 Buzzard, 1 Green Woodpecker (dead tree), 6 Fieldfare (trees way in), 1 Stonechat, 25+ Chaffinch, 3 Meadow Pipit,
