Wood Sandpiper flushed off at 8 a.m. but not seen since. 1 Ruff, 24 Black-tailed Godwit, c.125 Curlew, 1 Whimbrel, 45 Dunlin, 7 Common Sandpiper, 2 Mediterranean Gull (adult and 2nd summer), 1 (2 CY) Common Gull, Yellow Wagtail.
Chipping Sodbury Common:
1 Red Kite, 1 Whinchat.
NORTH SOMERSET
Leigh Woods - Nightingale Valley:
1 Tawny Owl owlet heard calling.
Portishead - Boating Lake:
36 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag Goose, 2 Mute Swan with 4 cygnets, Two Mallard broods of 1 and 3 ducklings, 1 Pied Wagtail.
Clevedon-Yeo:
Sand Point/Bay:
4 Oystercatcher, 111 Curlew in high tide roost, plus the first Redshank back, 2 Mediterranean Gull (adult summer and 1st-summer), BH Gull flocks.

WeBS count: 5 adult Shelduck (and 2 broods: 1 Shelduck with 3-4 half-grown juvs, and both parents with just 2 very small ducklings - did the gulls get the rest?), 18 Mallard, 1 Little Egret, 2 Oystercatcher, 20 Curlew, 1 Whimbrel, 62 Redshank, 823 BH Gull (including some juveniles), 1 H Gull, 12 LBB Gull, 17 Swift (6 in a screaming party over beach road), 3+ Swallow, 8 Pied Wagtail (probably two families), Blackcap singing, Goldfinch singing.
Congresbury:
3 Buzzard, 5+ House Martin.

Chew Valley Lake
2 Little Egret, 13 Lapwing, 2 Ruff (moulting adult males), 2 Common Sandpiper, 7 Green Sandpiper, 2 Kingfisher, 1 adult male Kestrel, 1 adult Hobby, 1 juv. Peregrine (presumed female on size), 7 Sand Martin.
