SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Oldbury Power Station:
1 Mute Swan + 3 cygnets, 1 Shelduck, c.90 Wigeon, 1 Grey Heron (Oldbury village), 5 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 3 Snipe, 6 Stock Dove, 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 Raven,  c.30 Skylark, 5 LT Tit, c.20 Fieldfare, c.40 Redwing, c.20 Meadow Pipit, 1 Bullfinch (heard), 1 Corn Bunting (uncommon away from Marshfield), 3 Yellowhammer, 12+ Reed Bunting.

(And yesterday, when the rain stopped:)  pr. Peregrine, 1 Short-eared Owl. 

Pillhead Gout at high tide:
c. 1,000 Dunlin, 300+ Lapwing, c.150 Curlew, 1 Grey Plover.

NORTH SOMERSET

BELOW M4 & BANES

Marshfield:
(Yesterday:)
25 Golden Plover, 15+ Meadow Pipit, pr. Stonechat, c.50 Skylark, 100+ Chaffinch including some continental forms.  Decent numbers of Yellowhammer and Corn Bunting scattered around but Corn Buntings seem to be a bit down on previous winters so far.

Keynsham:
2 Collared Dove, 1 Coal Tit, 2 Blue Tit, 3 Long-tailed Tit, 2 Starling, 3 Goldfinch.

30 Teal, 4 Buzzard, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Kestrel, 6 Jay, 5 Goldcrest, 1 Treecreeper, 75+ Redwing, only 2 Fieldfare, 4 Mistle Thrush, 1 Dipper (good site record), 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Bullfinch, 2 Greenfinch, 1 Yellowhammer.


RESERVOIRS

Blagdon Lake:
1 Great White Egret, 1 Egyptian Goose, 1 ad. ♂ Pintail, 1 ♂ Pochard x Ferruginous aythya hybrid (Wood Bay), c.390 Lapwing.

Dam:
1 Common Sandpiper, 1 ad. Yellow-legged Gull.

Woodford:
2 Raven,  6 Goldfinch, 2 Bullfinch.
