09-11-24 Saturday - Another big Hawfinch day..

Temp 09°C to 10°C - Gloomy day but with cloud slightly higher than on recent days. Still poor visibility. A force 1 ENE wind.

Widespread movement of finches and thrushes across most of the region today with birds moving up the Severn and seemingly coming in/off Wales and heading across the Bristol/South Gloucestershire area. Lots of vismiggers out doing counts today with six species of thrush reported and some good counts of Chaffinch, Brambling, Hawfinch and Siskin.

Skies are forecast to clear over the coming week so should be some better weather for photographers!
