29-07-25 Tuesday - Yellow Wagtails

Temp 16°C to 22°C - and some very welcome rain!  Showers on and off till mid-afternoon when the skies brightened for a pleasant evening with some sun though still a lot of cloud.  Mostly a light northerly wind but some stronger gusts now and then.

RESERVOIRS

Chew Valley Lake
5 Little Egret trying to fish in the middle of the lake with the Cormorants and gulls.

Herons Green:
40+ Little Egret (inc 4 juveniles).

Stratford:
5 Swift, 4 Ringed Plover, 1 Turnstone, 3 Greenshank, 4 Cattle Egret.

Herriott's Bridge:
4 Egyptian Geese, 5 Lapwing, 3 juv. Little Ringed Plover, 2 Dunlin, 11 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Greenshank, 2 Yellow Wagtail.

Out of Area

Cheddar Reservoir:
Wood Sandpiper
