A much nicer day with sunshine and high scudding clouds, clouding over later.  Cooler with a fresh SW breeze but no rain today.

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Oldbury Power Station:
1 Teal - juv, 1 Moorhen - juv newly fledged, c70 Ringed Plover, c10 Dunlin, c80 Black-headed Gull, 1 Mediterranean Gull - wint ad, 2 Kingfisher, 2 Redstart, 14 Wheatear, 10 Yellow Wagtail flew in and landed on rocks under seawall at 6:45am. Very mobile and flew off again.

Littleton-upon-Severn to Oldbury:
200+ Canada Goose, 11 Mallard, 1 Buzzard, 1 Swift, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Kestrel, 1 Magpie, 1 Blue Tit, 2 Swallow, 9 House Martin, 2 Starling, 1 Song Thrush, 6 Wheatear, 2 Goldfinch.

 New Passage/Northwick:
Swift, 100 Oystercatcher, 30 Lapwing, 80 Ringed Plover, 120 Curlew, 30 Black-tailed Godwit, 100 Dunlin, 1 juv. Little Stint, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 80 Redshank, 1 Kingfisher, 8 Wheatear, 1 Sand Martin, 8 Yellow Wagtail.

Pilning Wetlands:
(06:30 -08:30) 31 Lapwing, 31 Ringed Plover, 47 Black-tailed Godwit. 26 Dunlin, 3 Common Sandpiper, 84 Redshank. 2 Little Egret.
Pandemonium as a Peregrine swept in and after a spectacular chase took a godwit.

Severn Beach (high tide):
5 Green Sandpiper (in one group on tideline).
8 Little Egrets (at roost on Chittening).

Yate:
Sparrowhawk.
