A very mixed morning with sunshine and prolonged showers, but a fine and sunny afternoon.  Cool westerly breeze, up to 14°C.  (A sad day, owing to Robin Prytherch's funeral.)

New Passage/Northwick/Pilning Wetlands:

2 Stock Dove, 21 Canada Goose, 32 Shelduck, 31 Shoveler, 18 Gadwall, 86 Teal, 6 Tufted Duck, 2 Little Grebe, 3 Avocet, 40 Oystercatcher, 4 Lapwing, 1 Grey Plover, 4 Little Ringed Plover. 186 Black-tailed Godwit, 17 Curlew, 160 Redshank, 8 Turnstone, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 1 Kestrel, 1 Skylark, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 3 Chiffchaff, 15 Starling, 5 Pied Wagtail, 9 Meadow, Pipit, (and a lot of construction stuff in the way).

Moorend - Frome Valley Walkway:
1 Kingfisher, 1Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Coal Tit2 Dipper -pr, 2 Grey Wagtail -pr,

3 pr. Raven over the town.

Clevedon - Yeo:
On Dowlais scrape: 20 Teal, 6 Shoveler. 50+ Meadow Pipit. A Merlin flew South through the fields behind Dowlais scrape, as did the observer's first Swallow of the spring.

Congresbury Moor:
2 Stock Dove, 1 Jack Snipe, 10 Snipe, 1 Kestrel.

Sand Point/Bay:
Swallow over, heading north (10:15)

Weston airfield, Locking:
Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, 3 Swallow over, 1 Siberian Chiffchaff (no sign of the Pendulines today).

(yesterday - Wednesday) 3 Common Sandpiper, 40+ Sand Martin, 4 singing Chiffchaff, 30+ Pied Wagtail with two White Wagtail.

Chew Valley Lake - Herriott's Bridge:
1 Egyptian Goose, 10 Shelduck, 4 Pintail, 2 Little Egret, 100+ Sand Martin.
