Temp 7°C to 15°C - A nice sunrise, follwed by a cloudy, cold day, with a light wind from the SE/E. For a change, some rain to finish, and a stronger wind E/SE with gusts to at least 22mph. Let's hope it blows some good birds in, and some of the East coast birds make their way across country.

23-09-24 Monday - Purple Sandpiper

Temp 16°C to 17°C - Heavy rain- more than 30mm fell today to go with the 23mm from yesterday. Almost no wind. The rain meant Chew had less mud today and Herriot's Pool was raging. Floods made roads difficult and the road and path to Stratford hide were impassable. Still some good birds seen today but let's hope we don't need to start building arks just yet-seems like only 5 minutes since the last lot.
