Yatton:
Every winter I have Reed Buntings overwintering in my garden on the feeders. they arrive and stay for the whole winter and have done since the first year we were here (7 years ago) We started with 1 and this rose to 6 last year. They always arrive near Christmas time and last year our first record was on Christmas day when 2 arrived. The year before this they arrived Christmas Eve.

This year Christmas day came and there were no signs of my beloved Reed Buntings and I was a tad sad! However I got up this morning and was met with a Boxing day treat of the arrival of 7 beautiful Reed Buntings!! Four males and 3 females!! they have stayed on the feeders all day so hopefully they have arrived for the winter as normal...
