Bath:
St John's Church - Tiercel AA and the falcon get their heads together in the Bath Peregrines nest box earlier this afternoon. As is his way, AA heads off at the rush, and the falcon then appears to follow his exit. Straightforward bonding? Post-season debrief? Who knows?

Elsewhere in Bath -  Sand Martins still by Windsor Bridge. Town Centre 1 Grey Heron, 2 Kingfisher. Skyline from station 2 Buzzard, 20 Swift, 10 House Martin and 5 Goldfinch flew over. 100+ Gulls about everywhere, many juveniles. No BH Gull yet

Yate:
A Sparrowhawk caught a Starling in the garden and started plucking it. I had to go out and thought it would just carry its prey off. Very surprised when Sparrowhawk flew one way and the Starling the other. I thought it was dead!
