13-12-24 Friday - Slavonian Grebe, Ring-necked Duck

Temp 7°C - Cold and overcast with some heavy drizzle. The wind was light and from the NE/NNE if it blew. Last week's Richard's Pipit was at least the 221 species seen in Avon this year, see the list here. Will there be anymore in the next 18 days?

Looking for a small present or stocking filler for a bird lover? A Life with Buzzards, about the work of local birder Robin Prytherch, is available from Bristol Books.

There are still some local vacancies for the BTO Winter Gull count, more info available here if you are interested.

Copies of the 2023 Avon Bird Report are now available (the largest ever with 260 pages of text and photos), please email Harvey Rose (bktlgodwit@gmail.com) if you would like to order a copy.
