Below is a list of species and subspecies that require notes and/or photos if seen or heard in Avon. This is the 2025 list and it will be updated at some point to reflect the new BOU/Avilist list.
Please note some species only require notes from certain areas, e.g. some seabirds that are seen inland, and some only require notes when seen in unusual numbers, or at an unusual time of year.

If you spot a rare bird not on the below list, it may well be a national rarity and will need to be submitted to the BBRC.
