2 Feb '17 Thursday - Brambling

Blustery southerly wind with showers, though very mild for the time of year.  Not many birders out in the wind.

Bradley Stoke:
13 Waxwing (still feeding near the car wash area of the Tesco car park).

Oldbury Power Station:
2 Grey Plover,  c.2500 Dunlin, Short-eared Owl (on saltmarsh at yacht club).

Frampton Cotterell/Iron Acton:
3 Buzzard, flocks of 800 BH, LBB and Herring Gull, c.50 Redwing, 16 Long-tailed Tit (in two groups of 8 each), c.60 Rook, c.40 Chaffinch (on discarded grain now sprouting), 5 Brambling.

Weston-Super-Mare:
m. Black Redstart (on the roof of the bus stop outside the Police station in Weston Town Centre). 

Doynton/Wick:
Cattle Egret (still present in fields west of Toghill Farm)

Chew Valley Lake:
