4th July '17 Tuesday - Goldeneye duckling

2 Raven overhead & 6 Swift circling over

Leigh Woods: 
5+ Song Thrush, a Peregrine and a Whitethroat. (Giant Wood Wasp also seen)!
A Kestrel over the Suspension bridge.

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Almondsbury:
Juvenile Goldcrest near the vicarage and 4 House Martin in the village, then 2 Long-tailed Tit, a Robin plus juvenile Robin and a Bullfinch in the woods alongside Hollow Road.

Emersons Green:
Ponds around Science Park:
5 Grey Heron, 3 Little Egret, 1 Kestrel, 1 Buzzard, 5 Reed Warbler, 2 Reed Bunting, 1 Blackcap,
1 Chiffchaff, 6 Goldfinch

Oldbury Power Station:
11 Reed Warbler, lots of juveniles on Lagoon 3,  brood of 10 Tufted Duck still with adult female, another small single juvenile with another adult female. 1 Curlew on estuary.

New Passage - Pilning Wetlands:
5 Mute Swan, 6 Shelduck, 4 Tufted Duck, 1 Cormorant, 1 L Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 4 Little Grebe, 
1 Buzzard, 14 Coot, 6 Oystercatcher, c. 35 Lapwing, 1 Godwit, 1 Dunlin, c. 120 BH Gull, 
1 Peregrine, 2 Skylark, c. 20 Swallow, c. 40 House Martin, 5 LT Tit, 1 Reed Warbler, c. 50 Starling, 
3 Pied Wagtail, c. 15 Linnet.

Iron Acton:
White Hart at Iron Acton 20 House Martin and a dozen House Sparrow, plus a handful of Swifts


NORTH SOMERSET:

Portishead:
(Garden bird feeder) Long-tailed Tit, with ring, 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 1 Jay.

Weston Airfield:
7 Little Egret on Weston Airfield. Also 200+ Swifts over a field near Locking village.


BELOW M4 & BANES

Marshfield:
20+ Corn Bunting, 20+ Skylark, a few Yellowhammer & Linnet, 5 Pied Wagtails, 1 Kestrel,
1 Buzzard.
Quail heard this morning from Rushmead Lane.
