BRISTOL

Montpelier Park:
2 Carrion Crow, small mix of Blue and Great Tit, 1 Wren singing, a Blackbird in moult, and a Robin.

Hotwells - area:
1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Peregrine (A bond calling), 4 Greenfinch, and Linnet

Avonmouth, Lawrence Weston Lane - Hoar Gout end:
6 Mute Swan inc 4 well grown cygnets.

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Oldbury Power Station:
Ringed Plover plenty including one with leg rings - yellow with letters UFM, 1 Arctic Tern (j) -Tidal Lagoon, 1 Common Tern (Shepperdine), 1 Willow Warbler, 6 Chiffchaff - later 2 still singing, 10+ Blackcap, Lesser Whitethroat, and in the flock 1 Spotted Flycatcher. 3 Yellow Wagtail, and a Grey Wagtail flew over.

Sand Point/Bay:
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Sand Martin, 50 Swallow, 2 Chiffchaff, 3 Blackcap, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 5 Whitethroat, 3 Whinchat, 2 Wheatear, 1 Tree Pipit, 16 Meadow Pipit.
300 small waders in the bay plus 3 Yellow Wagtail.

Puxton Moor:
2 Grey Heron, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 1 Hobby, 2 Raven, 2 Sedge Warbler, 8 Goldfinch.

BELOW M4 & BANES

Marshfield: - an hour along Northfield Lane:
1 Little Owl, 1 Chiffchaff, and 4 Yellow Wagtail.

Keynsham - Memorial Park
1 Black-headed Gull, 8 House Sparrows, 1 Grey Wagtail - but the Mandarin has gone missing!
Bath - Weston:
Greenfinch 30th Aug 2018 BathGorging themselves on Sunflower hearts (Sean Whyte)

Newton St Loe:
4 Buzzard, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Green Woodpecker, 60 Jackdaw, 3 Raven, 4 Coal Tit, 5 House Martin only and no Barn Swallow, 4 Chiffchaff, 3 Goldcrest, 2 Nuthatch, 2 Treecreeper, 20+ Mistle Thrush, 1 Bullfinch, 3 Linnet, 30 Goldfinch. - best / most of - out of 37 species seen today.

3 Great White Egret, 6 Little Egret, unusual to find 20 Moorhen well out in the lake, 134 Black-tailed Godwit (best count of a moving throng), 5 Greenshank, 2 ringed Lesser Black-backed Gull - Guernsey and Bristol birds.
