Cameley:
The last three mornings (up to yesterday) were clear cold weather: at around 6 am we woke up to the chattering of Redwings emerging from roost in Ivy-covered trees around the edges of garden and adjoining fields. They dispersed some ½ hour later. How many? Difficult to say as they scattered in all directions, maybe 200+

5 days ago a Dipper singing in the Cam stream at Cameley Mill – the furthest up the stream I’ve noticed them.

Yesterday a fine adult male Sparrowhawk had a near-miss, almost flew into me as I was topping up the garden feeders then it landed in an apple tree about four metres away.
