Overcast but bright and warm with a moderate NE breeze.  Dry until late afternoon when light drizzle set in.  Max temp 22°C.

Stockwood Open Space:
6 Swallow, 12 House Martin (and 2 Southern Hawkers).

Oldbury Power Station:
A juv. Sparrowhawk chased a Green Woodpecker, which had to take avoiding action to escape.
A Spotted Flycatcher briefly in poplars, SW corner Lagoon 3. 

New Passage/Northwick:
2 ad. Mediterranean Gull (and a Grey Seal loafing around offshore)

Frampton Cotterell:
30+ Greenfinch at Hilly Fields.

NORTH SOMERSET

Portbury Wharf:
15  Canada Geese, 8 Mallard, 4 Tufted Duck, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 4 Moorhen, 2 Coot, 2 Common Sandpiper,  Herring Gull, Black-headed Gull, 2 Collared Dove, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker,  5 Magpie, 30 Starling, 6 Carrion Crow, 3 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Great Tit,  5 House Martin, 7 Chiffchaff, c.50 Goldfinch in flocks. 

Portishead:
mixed flock in the garden included the first Coal Tit for months - autumn flocks building, perhaps.

BELOW M4 & BANES

Wick:
40 Swallow one taken by a probable Hobby.

Dundry Hill:
Red Kite flew over.

4 Little Grebe, 4 GBB Gull (2 ad., 2 juv.), 1 Yellow-legged Gull, 1 Great White Egret, 1 Little Egret,
2 Buzzard, 1 Hobby (over Moreton), 30+ Swallow and House Martin, with some Sand Martin, 28+ Pied Wagtail.

Stratford:
1 f. Ruff1 Turnstone.

Herriott's inc Pool:
34 Canada Goose, 3 Water Rail, 18 Lapwing, 38+ Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Ruff1 Dunlin, 33 Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, 16 Green Sandpiper, 3 Wood Sandpiper (at least two were juvs,), 3 Greenshank, 5 GBB Gull (one with ring D:EH), Yellow-legged Gull10 Great White Egret, 10 Little Egret, 5 Grey Heron, 1 Marsh Harrier, 2 Kingfisher, 6 Jackdaw, 30+ hirundines over lake, 2 Cetti's Warbler (calling), 5 Reed Warbler, 4 Grey Wagtail, 30+ Pied Wagtail.
