Notice from Bristol Water:

We’re temporarily suspending access to Barrow Tanks 3 due to high levels of toxic blue-green algae.  This means restricting normal access to angling and bird watching activities at Barrow No.3 reservoir.  Blue-green algae is naturally-occurring in places like reservoirs but it can be harmful to animals and humans so please stay away from the reservoir area until the bloom clears.

Please adhere to the warning signs in place at the reservoir. We’ll update you as soon as the restrictions can be lifted. Further information and advice on blue-green algae can be found on the Government website
