Copies of the 2022 edition of the Avon Bird Report are due from the printers this week, the  cover photo is above. It is of a Pallid Swift, one of three seen at Aust at about this time last year. and it was photographed by Mark Coller.  The Report itself has 228 pages (including photographs and cover) and contains the usual items with two exceptions - an extensive weather report and a list of ringing recoveries which was not available from the BTO in time. There are two papers, one on a Ringed Plover study in the Avonmouth area by Lyndon Roberts  and a second discussing the notable Avon records for the last five years by Andy Davis.

Members of BNS and BOC will receive their copies in the next few weeks. Otherwise copies are available from me at £10 plus postage. The exact postage cost will only be known later this week but it is likely to be in the range £2.40 to £3.  If you want to buy a copy, and I hope many of you will, please e-mail me and I can send you payment and other details.

We are always looking for 'new blood', that is new contributors who are willing to write a portion of the systematic list or help in other ways to produce the next (2023 onwards) editions of the Report. If you feel that you might like to help please contact me in the first instance by e-mail.
