Temp 6°C to 8°C.  What a day!  Squally south-westerlies blowing in rain and hail showers at regular intervals all day.

1 Peregrine, 1 Grey Wagtail.

Clifton Down:
1 singing Collared Dove, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Goldcrest, 40+ Redwing (flock, singing).

Queens Road (Museum):
1 ex-Avocet - remains left by a Peregrine.

Zoo Bank:
1 calling Firecrest

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Portbury Wharf:
(Wharf Lane flooded)  Wigeon, Teal, Coot, Moorhen, Black-necked Grebe, Little Grebe, Oystercatcher, Curlew, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Linnet.

2 Purple Sandpiper.

Marshfield:
(survey late yesterday evening, 29th Feb)  5 Golden Plover, 5 Woodcock, 4 Snipe, Little Owl, Short-eared Owl, c.40 Fieldfare.

Doynton:
400+ Common Gull

Bath - St John's Church:
2 Peregrine - on the nest platform, camera misted but clearing.
