02-11-24 Saturday - Winter migrants now in!

Temp 12°C to 14°C - Classic gloomy November day but at least it was dry! A force 2 ENE wind.

Many classic winter species now in with Redwings/Fieldfares being seen in more places and a few scarcities mixed in. Worth looking out for Black Redstarts around old buildings and in rocky places along the coast as quite a few probably go unnoticed.

Some decent birds turning up at the lakes too. Increased chance of birds like Red-throated Diver turning up if these NE winds continue (we are definitely overdue one!)
