Showed for a good 20 minutes at Herriot's Bridge
BRISTOL
Cumberland Basin:
Up to 12 Redwing this afternoon, (some by the B Bond carpark and more in trees between the allotments and the railway line to Portishead). Also a Peregrine flew over, quite a large one and so probably a ♀.

Strawberry Line Congresbury to Yatton:
Around 50 Redwing feeding in various fields with the odd Fieldfare mixed in. Common Buzzard, Grey Heron, Chaffinches.

Portishead Boating Lake/Battery Point/East Wood:
2 Pochard, 2 Tufted Duck, Greylag, 1 Purple Sandpiper, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Nuthatch , 2-3 Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Gordano Valley:
Marsh Tit, 3 Mistle Thrush

Portbury Wharf:
6 Snipe, c50 Linnet,

Uphill: Kestrel, Short Eared Owl (have had reports that up to 5 Short-eared Owls have been seen in the Bleadon levels to Uphill area)

Weston-Super-Mare:
Weston beach had a flock of c.80 Dunlin and c.30 Ringed Plover. 
Marine Lake still held the female immature Eider, which appears to be in fine health still and feeding well on crabs.

Chew Valley Ringing Station:
2016 ringing total for the year: 3903 new birds. Nearly 800 less than 2015. Symptomatic of a poor breeding season this year.
