7th November '17 Tuesday - Water Pipits

Weather terrible, poured with rain most of the day, and colder.  A pretty sunset though.

Oldbury Power Station:
1 Merlin and 1 Peregrine attacking a Water Rail - read all about it here:  
2 Mistle Thrush, 2 Cetti's Warbler, 1 Brambling (over).

Keynsham: (ST6567)
9 Woodpigeon, 6 Collared Dove, 14 Carrion Crow, 42 Starling, 40 Chaffinch, 38 Goldfinch.

Marksbury:
100+ Starling (on wires) 50+ Jackdaw.


RESERVOIRS:

Blagdon Lake:
1 ♂ Aythya hybrid, 1 Great White Egret, 1 Little Egret, 14 Lapwings, 6 Dunlin.

Linnet flock at Moreton hide (Ian Stapp)
Chew Valley Lake:
420+ Cormorant (mostly off Denny Island and Villice Bay), 30+ Great White Egret, 22 Little Egret.

Dam:
1 Common Sandpiper.

Heron's Green:
2 Goosander, 73 Lapwing, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Green Sandpiper, 60+ Woodpigeon.

Moreton:
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3 Water Pipit, 2 Redwing (cottage), 1 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Jay, 50+ Linnet - and a Fox. - Late report of a Scaup (f).

Herriott's Bridge:
3 Shelduck, 16 Pintail, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 G BB Gull, 1 Cetti's Warbler.

Bittern Trail:
2 Brambling.
