Stormy, wet and windy - a horrible day! Bristol temperatures did not rise above 12°C .

Winthill garden - 4 Great Spotted Woodpecker (2 male, 2 female); 2 Nuthatch; 1 Chiffchaff; 1 Wren

Barrow Gurney Tanks:
12 Wigeon, 4 Pintail - only 1  previously

Blagdon Lake:
1 Pintail, 1 Garganey, many Teal, 4 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Great White Egret, 2 Wheatear, 1 Stonechat

Chew Valley Lake
Lake -wide count: 48 Great White Egret (47 in Heron's Green), 15 Little Egret, 200 House Martin, 25 Swallow, at least 2 Sand Martin

1 Mute Swan -  pale green ring with black XY9 fitted to the right leg.

Heron's Green:
47  Great White Egret,1 ad Yellow-legged Gull

Stratford:
Reported from Stratford Bay early on, though not subsequently - 1 pair Pintail,  3 Grey Plover, 1 Spotted Redshank, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, Dunlin, 5 Curlew Sandpiper, Ruff

Seen at 4.15pm - 1 Grey Plover,  2 Ringed Plover, 2 Curlew Sandpiper, 20+ Dunlin, 2 Greenshank

Observer from this morning has tweeted: 'Just in case mine was the last sighting of the Lesser Yellowlegs at Chew this morning, details were:
It showed from 8:15 until around 9am in front of Stratford hide. It then flew up over the hide heading west. I checked Blagdon on the way home just in case but no joy.'

Herriott's inc Pool:
Cattle Egret (flew east early on), 1 Kingfisher

Chew Valley Ringing Station:
A while ago a freshly dead Buzzard was found at CVL. The carcass was sent to the Predatory Bird Monitoring Scheme https://pbms.ceh.ac.uk for a post mortem. Results show the 2 year old female was in a starved condition / some haemorrhage to shoulder - possible small collision
