26-12-20 Boxing Day - Goosanders

Mild, grey, overcast and very blustery, dry spells between the showers.  Very little news, you must all be still digesting your Christmas dinners.  Get some fresh air!

Yate - garden:
4 or 5 Woodpigeon, 4 Collared Dove, 1 Sparrowhawk,  2 Blue Tit, 1 Blackcap (m), 1 Pied Wagtail (m), 2 Chaffinch, several Goldfinch - one less - SH food!

NORTH SOMERSET

Backwell:
17 species in the garden including Sparrowhawk. Great Spotted Woodpecker, Marsh Tit, f. Blackcap (first this winter).

Backwell Lake:
18 Shoveler, 4 Gadwall, 1 Pochard, 40 Little Egret in to roost

Kingston Seymour:
(yesterday)  c.40 Little Egret.

Weston-Super-Mare:
2 Green Woodpecker, 1 Mistle Thrush in the cemetery.
(yesterday) 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming in Weston-s-Mare woods.
