12-03-26 Thursday - Kittiwakes

Temp 08°C to 13°C. Clouds with occasional sun or light shower. Feeling cool in a strong breeze from SSW gusting to 40mph.

Some birds are well into breeding season, and more will be soon, so here is a reminder about Schedule 1 birds. Please be careful about reporting these species, or any others, in which a nest or potential breeding site is put at risk, or the birds are disturbed in any way. There have been recent cases of people getting far too close to nesting owls for example.

All sightings sent to us go into the records but we will not post certain species at certain locations on the blog. You can also email sensitive records to Rupert Higgins, the county recorder, details in the side bar of the blog.
