Many birders reporting a quiet day - it wasn't quiet doing the blog

Marsh Tit on the feeders again - exit stage left one Coal Tit.

Stoke Park, Duchess Pond:
1 Tree Pipit, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Common Whitethroat, 1 female Reed Bunting

Oldbury Power Station:
Hobby - first of the year? - even saw its red trousers heading up river fast, 1 Sedge Warbler,
1 Cettis Warbler, 1 Willow Warbler, 8 Reed Warbler, 12 Chiffchaff, 3 Blackcap, 2 House Martin,
4 Swallow, 2 Peregrine, 1 Raven, 5 Canada Goose + 6 goslings

Littleton Warth:
Mid-day: 6 Oystercatchers, 4 Ringed Plover, a few Whimbrel through, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Wheatear. Mostly quiet though. Collared Dove and distant Wheatear

New Passage/Northwick Warth:
Quiet except Ruff, Black-tailed Godwit, Common Sandpiper, 5 BHGull, Little Egret through, more Reed Warblers. Grasshopper Warbler reeling on Northwick Warth in hedge north of 2nd sentry box 10.00
Spoonbill on Northwick Warth then flew up river towards Aust

Severn Beach:
Migrants at Severn Beach shore late afternoon include 3 Greenshank, 8 Whimbrel, 16 Bar-tailed Godwits and a drake Wigeon. 8 Ringed Plover.

Portbury Wharf:
1 Snipe, 1 Common Whitethroat, 1 Pied Flyatcher, singing Blackcap. Also heard Cetti's Warbler and probable Great Reed Warbler. Common Sandpiper, Common Gull (1st summer), 3 Redshank, pair Wigeon, Lesser Whitethroat

Blagdon Lake:
34 Blackcap, 23 Chiffchaff, 8 Reed Warbler, first Garden Warbler. Selected resident counts included 44 Winter Wren, 32 Robin, 24 Common Blackbirds,  8 Song Thrush, 7 Reed Buntings. Other more notable birds included 5 Common Sandpiper, a Common Snipe, 3 Teal, a pair of Gadwall and 2 Greylag Goose. No hirundines at all.

Chew Valley Lake:

Highlight this morning was a female type Marsh Harrier that flew to the North-east over the lake at 10.40. Also 4 singing Sedge Warblers on the western side and 3 Scaup, one male, at Stratford.

Heron's Green:
2 Reed Warbler, 3 Common Sandpiper (wall), 6+ Swallow (over pond), 1 Buzzard, 1 Raven

3 Blackcap, 1 Mistle Thrush (by the gate way in), 1 Cetti's,  4 Chiffchaff , 1 Little Grebe, 2 Shelduck, 2 Bullfinch, 1 Buzzard, 2 Jay, 1 Mistle Thrush (lane to Stratford singing), 2 Stock Dove,
12+ Swallow, 4 House Martin over the lake, 66 Tufted Duck (in front hide)
