Dull start then turned lovely and sunny

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Littleton Ringing Station:
A good session with 2 ringers catching 44 new and 20 retraps.

Wren 1,0; Long-Tailed Tit 1,1; Chiffchaff 2,1; Great tit 1,2; Blue tit 0,6;
Robin 0,2; Song Thrush, 0,1.
The session on 11th - highlights; Mistle Thrush, Siskin and Chiffchaff which was caked in pollen around the face, showing it's just come from the continent - first ringed in 2015.

Aust:
1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Little Owl, 2 Wheatear and in the evening 4 Short-eared Owl flying from Aust towards Northwick, also 1 Merlin (f), 1 Swallow, 12 Chiffchaff, but only
1 Wheatear (m).

New Passage/Northwick Warth:
2 White-fronted Geese, 1 Pheasant, 1 Red Kite flying South West 12.40, 2 Little Owl (all year ticks)
