SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Aust Warth:
2 Oystercatcher, 1 Lapwing (from grass edge of pill), c. 45 Curlew, 1 Dunlin (flushed from salt marsh), c.25 Redshank, 2 Skylark, 1 Bullfinch
Aust Services: 1 Song Thrush singing, c.80 Pied Wagtails (coming to roost in the 5 small trees each side of the Services’ entrance)

New Passage/Northwick:
-1 Snow Bunting (Brian Lancastle found the carcass.  It looked like a young bird taken by a falcon – probably a Merlin or Peregrine)

Winterbourne:

Uphill:
Uphill was really quiet, a few Teal and Redshank, heard a Curlew and found 1 male Bullfinch in the bushes. Still no sign of any Short-eared Owls (WH)

Bleadon:
10 Fieldfare, 3 Goldcrest, 2 Blackcap, 2 Little Egret, 1 GW Egret, 1 Greenfinch, 1 Sparrowhawk,
1 Meadow Pipit, 1 Cormorant, 20 Teal, 1 Little Grebe

Churchill:
6 Bullfinch (4m 2f, close-up)

Two spend nearly all day, every day, in the garden, eating apple, sunflower hearts, and fat-balls

Willsbridge Mill:
1 m Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Jay, 1 Raven, lots of Blue and Great Tit, 2 flocks of Long-tailed Tit,  2 Goldcrest,  2 Wren, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Treecreeper, 2 Bullfinch, 2 Greenfinch, and 6 Goldfinch. Apologies for the late report
