10-01-19 Thursday - Little Stint

Very cold and overcast but still dry.  Described as a nice winter morning by one intrepid walker.

Garden Blackcaps: 3 at Bleadon (2 m.. 1 f.), single f. in Portishead, 1 m. in Almondsbury.

(Village) 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Jay, 30 Redwing.
(Almondsbury garden) 1 Jay, 7 Long-tailed Tit; 1 m. Blackcap, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Mistle Thrush.

Aust Warth:
Short-eared Owl. 

New Passage/Northwick:
5 White-fronted Goose, 1 Pochard, 1 Little Egret, Water Rail, 80+ Black-tailed Godwit, 70+ Dunlin, Stock Dove, Peregrine.

A slow day around the patch - highlights: 17 Teal ,15 Common Gull, 1 Raven, 5 Goldcrest, 3 Mistle Thrush,15 Long-tailed Tit.

Barrow Tanks:
1 m. Long-tailed Duck, 4 Little Grebe, 3 Gadwall, 2 Goldcrest.
