Magpies roosting in Hawthorne tree in garden making huge commotion tonight 21.10 .. Went to see what was going on. Don’t know who was more shocked by near head height collision. Me or Little Owl, hotly pursued by the Magpie!! I ducked !!!

Lyde Green:
2 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Willow Warbler, 6 Chiffchaff, 1 Reed Warbler - singing

Marshfield - from a local :
Linnet-loads around this year. Small groups and pairs both north and south of the village.
Corn Bunting- rarely out of earshot anywhere from Down Road to Rushmead Farm and Rushmead lane, spreading south of the A 420 and to Shire Valley. Good numbers also Middledown Lane.
Skylark-very healthy numbers. Singing above virtually every field in the same areas as Corn Bunting
Yellowhammer-common but tend to stick to specific areas, some are still in small groups, Northfield Lane and Down Road best. 
No Grey Partridge but a few Red-legged have remained unshot!
Raven and Buzzard very common.
