Backwell Lake:
(20th Sept) Update from roost - Mute Swan (the 7 cygnets are all doing well), Mallard,1 Water Rail (heard), Moorhen, Coot,  BH Gull,5 Little Egret in the roost (another person said there were 6 on Friday + 2 regular during the day, 1 Grey Heron, 5 Herring Gull, about 120 Jackdaw also using the island to roost and annoying the Egrets, 3 Cetti’s Warbler (1 seen, 2 heard - have arrived over last fortnight), 1 Pied Wagtail

A few Southern Hawker Dragonflies still on the wing.
