Swift: Lots of reports of birds screaming over the city areas and elsewhere. They're 'in'.

Linden Avenue: 12 Swift.

Horton:
A46 junction: 2 Red Kite 1.30pm, following the plough (Dave Poulton).

Chipping Sodbury:
Common: 1 Short-eared Owl out 6pm ST 736840. Last reported here 19 April.
Other stuff, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Wheatear.

Iron Acton:
1 flyover Red Kite 3pm to south-east (David Hanks).

Oldbury Power Station:
2 flyover Crane 9.45am (Morris Benson).
Other stuff, 6 Whimbrel, 1 Short-eared Owl again at L3, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, trees by car-park.

Aust Warth:
6 Shelduck, 2 Little Egret, 1 Peregrine, 2 Whimbrel, 1 Curlew, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Whinchat.

Shore & wetland: 2 Little Egret, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 16 Ringed Plover, 2 Grey Plover, 2 Lapwing, 64 Dunlin, 5 Whimbrel, 1 Greenshank (new in, wetlands), 1 Redshank, 4 Little Gull (wetland), 7 BH Gull, 4 Swift, 1 Grasshopper Warbler still, 1 Wheatear, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Siskin, 2 Redpoll.

One nice thing about a late spring wader passage is that the birds are usually in their finery.

Sandy Lane end: 1 Tawny owl (evening), 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 flyover Raven, 1 Coal Tit, 1 Nuthatch.

Portbury Dock:
6 Ringed Plover, 35 Dunlin, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 4 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew.

Portishead:
High St: 3 Swift.
Battery Pt: 5 Purple Sandpiper, 1 singing Sedge Warbler, 1 Wheatear plus some Swallow passage this evening.

Clevedon coast:
Wain's Hill-Yeo Est: 3 Mute Swan, 6 Canada Goose, 50 Shelduck, 30 Mallard, 3 Tufted Duck, 5 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 27 Oystercatcher, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 9 Ringed Plover, 8 Lapwing, 90 Dunlin, 1 Ruff (Dowlais), 42 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew, 2 Greenshank (up the Yeo), 5 Redshank (inc a pair mating), 4 Turnstone, 1 BH Gull, 25 LBB Gull, 40 Herring Gull, 5 Swallow, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 1 Whitethroat, 10 Reed Warbler, 1 Reed Bunting.

Worle:
3 soaring Buzzard.
Lower Kewstoke Rd: 1 male Siskin, feeders.

6 Whimbrel, 1 Swift, 7 Chiffchaff, just 1 Willow Warbler, 9 Blackcap, 1 Garden Warbler (bay), 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 14 Whitethroat, 1 Spotted Flycatcher (car-park), 1 Wheatear, 6 Redpoll.

Barrow Tanks:
1 Little Egret, 2 Hobby, 5 Common Sandpiper, 25 Sand Martin (No.3 tank colony), 8 Whitethroat, 7 Grey Wagtail, 1 White Wagtail.

Blagdon Lake:
1 Egyptian Goose, 3 Common Sandpiper, 1 Otter (Top End again).

Planet Chew:
