6/5/16 Blackbird at Abbots Leigh (Karin Rhodes)

1 flyover Red Kite 3.40pm (Hugh Maynard).

Sea Mills (Bristol):
1 Canada Goose, 15 Shelduck, 1 Buzzard, 1 Green Woodpecker, 20+ House Martin (mud collecting for nearby nests), 1 Chiffchaff.

Chipping Sodbury:
Common: 1 Red Kite 2.50pm to south and towards the town (Dave Poulton).
Other stuff, 3 Buzzard, 2 Kestrel of note.

Shepperdine:
Evening tide: 4 Little Egret, 3 Ringed Plover, 4 Dunlin, 4 Whimbrel, 22 BH Gull, 1 Common Gull.

New Passage-Northwick:
55 Shelduck, 10 Gadwall, 1 Pintail, 1 Little Egret, 4 Little Grebe, 1 Water Rail, 3 Little Ringed Plover, 20 Ringed Plover, 2 Grey Plover still, 1 Lapwing, 2 Sanderling, 97 Dunlin, 5 Ruff, 14 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew, 1 Greenshank, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Turnstone, 13 BH Gull, 2 Commic Tern, 2 Swift, 1 Garden Warbler, 4 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Spotted Flycatcher, 4 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Grey Wagtail (bred), 1 Siskin, 2 Redpoll.
Ringing/retraps: 10 Sedge Warbler, 10 Reed Warbler.

WeBS: 8 Mute Swan, 3 Canada Goose, 4 Gadwall, 3 Tufted Duck, 1 Cormorant, 4 Little Grebe, 5 Moorhen, 9 Coot, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Common Sandpiper, 11 LBB Gull, 21 Herring Gull, 1 GBB Gull.
Other stuff, 2 Wigeon hanging on, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Common Sandpiper, 4 Cetti's Warbler, 4 Chiffchaff, 5 Blackcap, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 8 Whitethroat, 7 Reed Warbler, 1 White Wagtail.

Churchill:
8 Swift, 15 Swallow, 15 House Martin, at the sports centre field during the observer's PE lesson. Common warblers also in song in the background.

Rowberrow:
A38: 1 Wryneck 11am (Paul Milsom). Flying around by the garage at junction for Shipham. Unfortunately, just inside the Somerset boundary.

Sand Pt:
Morning watch: 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Sandwich Tern, 3 Black Tern, 1 Arctic Tern, 1 Cuckoo, 1 Willow Warbler, 6 Garden Warbler, 5 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 female Pied Flycatcher (car-park),  1 Whinchat, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 20 Redpoll (Paul Bowyer, what a minty haul).

Blagdon Lake:
WeBS: 35 Mute Swan, 36 Canada Goose, 2 Egyptian Goose, 4 Gadwall, 56 Mallard, 3 Pochard, 60 Tufted Duck, 6 Cormorant, 7 Grey Heron, 4 Little Grebe, 14 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Moorhen, 129 Coot, 7 Common Sandpiper, 35 LBB Gull, 5 Herring Gull.
Other stuff, 2 Spotted Flycatcher (Top End).

Bishop Sutton:
Church Lane: 5 Siskin, still on the garden feeders.

Planet Chew:
Red Kite: 3 fly-throughs 11.45am, 2.50pm, 3.35pm (Mike Jenkins).
Osprey: 1 at 11.05am but distant (Mike Jenkins).
