Avon Gorge Peregrine Update (per Ed Drewitt):
Pair bred successfully, 3 chicks hatched but one was unwell and died.
2 chicks have been ringed, LY female and LZ male.
Both birds are expected to leave the nest imminently.

Oldbury Power Station:

1 adult Great Skua down over the high tide mid-day (opsbirding). Totally unexpected.
Other stuff, 1 Red-legged Partridge, lagoon 3 path.

New Passage-Northwick:
9 Gadwall, 4 Tufted Duck, 4 Little Grebe, 21 Oystercatcher, 2 Little Egret, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Curlew, 1 Redshank, 75 BH Gull.
Mute Swan, Shelduck, Little Grebe and Coot broods noted.

Severn Beach:
4 Shelduck, 4 Swallow, 2 Chiffchaff, 3 Whitethroat, 40 Starling, 1 Song Thrush.

Gordano Valley:

Village environs: 4 Grey Heron, 2 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 10 Swallow, 8 House Martin, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 2 Pied Wagtail, 2 adult Yellowhammer + 6 juvs.

Paulton:
1 Collared Dove, 1 Goldcrest, 7 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 1 Reed Warbler, 10 Blackbird, 2 Song Thrush, 5 Chaffinch.

Blagdon Lake:
28 Mute Swan, 148 Canada Goose, 5 Tufted Duck, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 1 BH Gull, 10 Swift, 4 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 40 Swallow, 10 House Martin, 3 Blackcap, 2 Reed Warbler, 2 Nuthatch, 2 Song Thrush, 4 Pied Wagtail.
Bickfield Farm: 6 active House Martin nests (at least 2 young), 8 House Sparrow.
