Cuckoos in Avon – May 2016
Table only shows dates when birds were recorded rather than total number of birds. Planet Chew had a particularly strong month with max.6 birds heard calling on 8th.
Extrapolating the data from our spreadsheet, we estimate only about 25-30 birds involved.

The Wigeon pair still, 1 Oystercatcher brood, 3 Curlew, 3 Redshank, 2 Stock Dove.

Clevedon Town:
2 circling Peregrine 5.45pm.

Lulsgate:
Airport: 2 flyover Peregrine mid-day.

Keynsham:
Manor Woods: 2 Green Woodpecker, 10 Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler, 10 Blackcap, 1 Song Thrush.

Blagdon Lake:
1 Hobby, 1 Cuckoo, 1 Spotted Flycatcher (Hellfire Corner).

Planet Chew:
