Sightings 18/8/2016 - Pintail, Great White Egret

Warm and sunny in the morning with light cloud in the afternoon

Great White Egret at Blagdon Lake, 1st reported this autumn on the blog
3 juv Pintail arrived high over Heron's Green Bay, 1st reported this autumn
2 juv Garganey (male and female) in Villice Bay, nearly the first
2 Swift still and 1 Hobby at Newton St Loe, first in a few years

Oldbury coast: 
5 Tufted Duck (pill), 2 Buzzard, 13 Curlew, 2 Raven, 1 Chiffchaff, yacht club end

Littleton Warth:
3 Teal, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Buzzard, 11 Curlew, 1 Common Sandpiper, 300+ BH Gull,
1 Whitethroat, 2 Wheatear, 60 Linnet.

Aust Wharf:
2 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 6 Oystercatcher, 1 Whimbrel, 6 Curlew, 12 Common Sandpiper,

Chew Valley Lake:
1 eclipse male Wigeon, 3 juv Pintail arrived high over Heron's Green Bay and eventually settled off Moreton Bank, 2 juv Garganey (male and female) in Villice Bay, 45 Shoveler, 1 male Tufted x Pochard hybrid, 3 Lapwings, 2 juv Black-tailed Godwits, 5 Common Sandpiper, 5 Green Sandpiper, 2 Yellow-legged Gull (ad + 3rd-yr)

Moreton Pond:
1 Little Egret, 4 Snipe, 5 Green Sandpiper
