Warm and sunny day, a touch humid. Hottest day of the year so far.
Photographers out in force today, hence the many fine pics.

Spoonbill
Large numbers of Red Kite reported in Cornwall, South Devon and Somerset coast. Some could drift our way.

4 Mute Swan in the floating harbour,
1 Moorhen near SS Great Britain, another at Finzell's Reach and a pair on the feeder.
1 Grey Wagtail at Finzell's Reach and the Peregrine on station there too.
Another Grey Wagtail near Temple Meads bridge and a Raven overhead there.
A cormorant by Temple Meads bridge.
About a dozen Mallard throughout and two or three gatherings of mixed Lesser Black-backed and Herring Gulls, totalling about 60

Other:
The Female G S Woodpecker has a ring on Left leg see pic, Both M & F seem to be finding loads of food for the chicks looks like Caddis flies.
Cuckoo a lot of flying around & calling chasing one after the other for about 30 min at 11.30 today.
On way home at Chelwood Village 12.45pm 1 Red Kite circling over a field being cut for Silage with gulls.

Apparently us oldsters are not volunteering as much as we once did, hence the focus on the 'mature and experienced'. You must wear gloves and take food, drink, sun tan lotion, waterproofs (well it is Britain) and suitable footwear.
