Not very nice, until about 15:30, then splendid.

Redland:
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker (1st for 18 months) and then a Jay on the peanut feeders.

Leigh Woods:
Tawny Owl calling by Paradise Bottom.

Oldbury Power Station:
Late report (3rd). A Cuckoo and a Peregrine pair.


New Passage/Northwick Warth/Pilning wetland:
2 Little Egret, 22 Oystercatcher, 5 Lapwing chicks, 2 nearly full grown, 5 juv Raven, and 2 Mistle Thrush.

Chipping Sodbury Common:

1 Barn Owl, 1 Green Woodpecker and a Kestrel - on an early morning excursion.


NORTH SOMERSET:

Pill:
 A Hobby over the allotments heading this pm - heading South West.

Adult male Peregrine on pylons closest to Wemberham Lane.

Langford:
A pair of Siskin on the feeders today.

2nd summer Yellow-legged Gull.

Swift sreaming up and down the lake.
Swallows on the wing in the rain.
