Mild but wet all morning, a bit drier in the afternoon

I saw a Greenfinch in my garden this morning and at one point that was the only report! The few birders who ventured out didn't see much for their trouble.

BRISTOL

First record of Pied Wagtail in a Downend garden

Greenfinch in Coombe Dingle and another heard near Temple Meads. (That's as good as it got for me.)

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Latteridge
Whitethroat (singing), many Mistle Thrush
 
Oldbury on Severn/Powerstation:
Red Kite(s) at 12.00 and again at 15.05
2 Green Woodpecker, Chiffchaff (non-stop singing)
Mistle Thrush (with juv by the lake), 1 Turnstone (at the yacht club), 24 Curlew

Pilning Wetland:
Common Tern, 4 Black-tailed Godwits, 11 Little Ringed Plover (2 full size juveniles),
23+ Lapwing including another 2 young (8th brood so far this year), 9 Redshank, 2 Little Egrets,
75+ Black-headed Gulls, 6 Tufted Duck ducklings, 10+ Sand Martin,  30+ Swift.

New Passage:
1 Whimbrel, 1 Common Sandpiper, 8 Redshank, 9 Curlew, 51 Shelduck
