Very mixed weather - fine and sunny one minute, heavy rain and claps of thunder the next.  Warm.

Clevedon-Yeo:
c.60 adult Shelduck plus 35 (!) new chicks in three broods of 15, 11 and 9 - this last one probably a week or so old.
2 Canada Goose + 4 juv, 9 Mute Swan, 40 Mallard, 14 Tufted Duck, 2 Little Grebe, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret, 8 Coot, 18 Oystercatcher, 7 Whimbrel, 18 Curlew, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit (in non-breeding plumage), 9 Dunlin, 2 Redshank, 15 Black-headed Gull (first returners here), 60 Herring Gull, 20 LBB Gull, 1 Raven, 10 Skylark, c.12 Swallow (including 5 juvs in a bush being fed by adults), 1 Cetti’s Warbler,  10 Reed Warbler, 3 singing Whitethroat, 1 juv. Pied Wagtail (on its own).

Sand Point/Bay:
Very quiet at this site since mid-May, but a surprise today was 3 juvenile Coal Tits on the very end, certainly not bred nearby.  Also Whitethroat and Rock Pipit.
