More wall-to-wall sunshine with a pleasant cooling breeze.  Some cloud building up later.

Dipper at Snuff Mills today (Allan Chard)
Fir Tree Lane and Troopers Hill, BS5:
20-25 Swift feeding high up - largest posse seen yet.


Longwell Green:
Red Kite low over, being mobbed by Crows & Magpies.


Redland (garden with feeders and birdbaths):
Huge flock of gulls presumably anting, 17:00-18:00 hrs.   2 Woodpigeon, 2 Collared Dove, 6 Swift, 1 Magpie, 1 Carrion Crow, 2 Great Tit, 6 House Sparrow, 1 Greenfinch, 2 Goldfinch.

Oldbury Power Station:
juv. Coal Tit on Lagoon 2.


New Passage/Northwick:
20 Canada Goose, 2 Mute Swan cygnets, 3+ Little Egret, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Sparrowhawk, 18 Lapwing, 5 Little Ringed Plover (3 juv), first returning Whimbrel, 4 Dunlin, 20 Curlew, 62 Redshank, 1 Stock Dove, 5 Raven, 1 hunting Hobby, 1 Kestrel, 1 Yellow Wagtail.


Severn Beach:
3 more Little Egret.


NORTH SOMERSET


M5 junction 19 Easton-in-Gordano
Flock of mixed large gulls presumably anting, 17:30

Gulls anting over Worlebury (George Rabin)
Worlebury, Weston-Super-Mare:
Remarkable numbers of gulls over the garden in Worlebury due to an ant emergence - c.500 BH Gull, Herring and LBB Gull.


Weston STW:
1 Peregrine, c.50 Sand Martin.
