25 Swift - 20:30  - heard above me, found feeding really high up, certainly the most I have ever seen here.

1 Canada Goose, 2 Mute Swan + 2 cygnets, 4 Shelduck + 2 young, 2 Tufted Duck (male shading to eclipse), 2 Little Grebe, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 2 Cormorant, 2 Moorhen, 6 Coot, 1 Lapwing, 9 Black-tailed Godwit, c.200 Black-headed Gull, 1 Mediterranean Gull, 1 Kestrel, c.30 Swallow, 5 Pied Wagtail, 2 Meadow Pipit, 8 Linnet.

NORTH SOMERSET

Portbury Wharf:
1 Red Kite - heading towards Bristol

Clevedon-Yeo:
6 Canada Goose, 6 Mute Swan, 80 Shelduck + brood of 15 well grown juv, 60+ Mallard, 1 Grey Heron, 4 Little Egret, 3 Cormorant, 1 Buzzard, 2 Coot, 10 Oystercatcher - at least 2 pairs giving distraction displays, 10 Lapwing, 5 Whimbrel, 90 Curlew, 1 Dunlin, 1 Common Sandpiper, 90 Redshank, 150 Black-headed Gull, 15 Herring Gull, 6 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Swift, 80 Jackdaw, 2 Swallow, 2+ Reed Warbler - some singing.

Worle:
1 Common Sandpiper - over the garden last night, 22:15

Bleadon - STW - 06-07-2019:
1 Oystercatcher (it tried to nest on the visitor centre roof, is still guarding it...), c.20 Redshank,  3 Skylark, 5 Sedge Warbler, poss. Siskin (small bird flying fast out of rhine, very patterned back).

2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Green Woodpecker, 40 Swallow, 3 Mistle Thrush

Bristol Airport:
This Turkey was very friendly and has been around for a few weeks. It was seen on Winters lane on the south side of the runway at Bristol Airport at the top of the hill.

4 Buzzard - circling, 1 Marsh Tit, 5 Long-tailed Tit, Chiffchaff heard, Grasshopper Warbler present and reeling for long periods just east of the fire station on Lansdown.

c25 Swift.

1 Sparrowhawk with sparrow for breakfast !

Newton St. Loe:
2 Mute Swan (+4 Cygnets), 30+ Mallard, 1 Grey Heron, 6 Coot, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Blackcap (m), 1 Treecreeper, 9 species of butterfly (including Comma and Silver Wash Fritillary).

9 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Green Sandpiper.

Chew Valley Ringing
The world of Reed Warblers. Still ringing new adults (with signs of ending breeding), and new juvs that are well advanced with their post-juv moult. Seems like early autumn. Locally ringed nestlings yet to turn up.
