 St Andrews:

Amazing swifts almost gone already. But seemed like good year over Bristol from my panoramic St Andrews viewpoint West over Clifton (most swifts), Redland and Bishopston. Over 100 through July max count 135. Long wait for their return. ⁦

Buzzard and juv. Sparrowhawk calling from copse close to the village. No sign of any Hobbies

New Passage & Pilning Wetlands:

4 Teal, 1 Tufted Duck (f) with 4 small ducklings, 2 Little Ringed Plover - inc 1 well grown juv, 27 Black-tailed Godwit, a few Dunlin, 3 Common Sandpiper, 3 Little Egret, good numbers of Sand Martin and Swallow, 300 Starling, 5 Yellow Wagtail - more at roost.
