8th Dec '16 Thursday - Eider still

Mild again, a wet start for some at least but brightening up a bit later.

As for reports, a quiet day with no sightings from the lake sites and so no great white egrets!

The female Eider still on Marine Lake, Weston-supper-Mare. Much closer today allowing for some nice photos. She was mobbed by gulls at one point but seems to be feeding well.

8-12-16 Eider with lunch (Dave Hughes)
Nice to see closer up but be warned, other long-stayers at this location haven't fared well.
