Several inches of snow overnight continuing through the morning. Partial melt, at least in Bristol, in the afternoon. Bitterly cold northerly wind. 0 - 2°C

Oldbury Power Station:
4 Grey Plover, 1st yr m Black Redstart in sewage treatment area, 3 Stonechat

Thornbury: 
Garden - 1 m Blackcap, 3 Redwing

Aust Warth:
20+ Lapwing, 1 Short-eared Owl, 1 f Kestrel, 30+ Fieldfare/ Redwing,  5 Linnet

01-02-19 Black-tailed Godwit, Northwick Warth (Ian Loats)
New Passage/Northwick:
100+ Canada Geese, 5 White-fronted Geese, 50+ Shelduck, 1 f Sparrowhawk, 30+ Lapwing, Peregrine caught a Starling from a decent flock on the salt marsh, 1 Merlin hunting shoreline trying to take down Shelduck, 30 + Starling

Plenty of displaced arrivals including an influx of Skylark and Fieldfare. Black-tailed Godwit and Curlew probing into 4 inches of snow

1 Great Spotted woodpecker,  50 + Redwing, 100 + Fieldfare, 2 Starling, 3 Stonechat, 2 Pied Wagtail, 40 + Chaffinch (flock)
