Another cold day with a northerly breeze which seems to be holding up the migrants. Observers at Anchor Head and Wain's Hill this morning reported no visible migration at all.

Summary:
A brisk north-easterly breeze all day which is helping migration. Lots of Hirundines streaming through, especially along the coast. Hopefully, something really good will turn up in the mass.

Summary:
Red Kite: At least 1 bird through Marshfield, another over Bath.
Osprey: 2 birds through Planet Chew, 1 over Dundry.
Bar-tailed Godwit: Large influx off Severn Beach this evening. A few Grey Plover and Whimbrel also recorded so some decent wader passage may be in the offing. Terns too maybe.
Common Sandpiper: Large influx at Planet Chew today.
Iberian Chiffchaff: 1 at Hanham, a potential 1st Avon record.
Wood Warbler: 1 at Yate Common, our first of the Spring.


Stoke Park (Bristol):
Duchess Pond: 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Common Sandpiper (unusual here), 2 Swallow, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat.

Stockwood (Bristol):
Open Space: 2 Whitethroat, 1 male Redstart.

Hanham (Bristol):
A putative Iberian Chiffchaff (Rob Laughton). Bird at Hanham Court Gardens park, off of Ferry Rd.
