‘Fair Isle: the fairest of Isles’
Alex is a keen birder, BTO
ringer, writer and wildlife film maker. This evening talk is his account of his five weeks
as an ornithological volunteer at Fair Isle Bird Observatory – very much a part
of the island community and involving not just birding activities but also taking part in tea dances,
tall ships and a sheep roundup !
Venue: The Star Inn, Tickenham, 25 January at 7.45pm. All welcome, HOT members £3, non-members £4, under 18's free.
