A369: A dead (road casualty) Otter on the main road into Portishead this morning (Lee Gardiner). Unfortunately, the body could not be found when our Otter person went to retrieve it, presumably it had been moved by a predator.

If you are lucky enough to see an Otter or recognise Otter signs whilst out birding, I would be
really grateful if you could pass the details on to me (the usual who, what,
where and when, along with any supporting information/photographs) so that I
can add them to our Otter group records.
All records we receive help us with our monitoring and will also be
sent to BRERC, unless you request otherwise.
If you come across a dead Otter please contact me as soon as possible
(between 9am and 9pm) on 01275 810420 or 07810 887293 and I will try to arrange
to have it collected and transported to the Cardiff University Otter Project
for post mortem analysis.
