Sightings 22/1/16

Alex Rhodes (photo by Roger Riddington)
‘Fair Isle: the fairest of Isles’
Alex is a keen birder, BTO ringer, writer and wildlife film maker. This evening talk is his account of his five weeks as an ornithological volunteer at Fair Isle Bird Observatory – very much a part of the island community and involving not just birding activities but also taking part in tea dances, tall ships and a sheep roundup !

Venue: The Star Inn, Tickenham, 25 January at 7.45pmAll welcome, HOT members £3, non-members £4, under 18's free.
Contact Carrie 01275 462 908 for more detail.

Warning: Alex's natural glow and aura are blinding. Guests may wish to consider bringing sunglasses or welder's goggles as protection against His radiance.
Afterwards, you may feel windswept and wild-eyed as if you had seen God, this is quite normal.
After the talk, He will walk among us appearing as a mere mortal.
